Javert makes hakama cool again

Okay, this is my first time drawing Javert, everyone congratulate me for breaking out, haha. The truth is, I've had this Javert in my head for some time--he's dressed like a Japanese policeman from the late Edo time period (that is, from around the time Les Mis was actually supposed to take place--1820s-30s). Except for the boots. Those aren't period at all, I just kinda liked them with the hiked-up hakama (plus, how could you have a Javert with bare, hairy legs and sandals? eww...Javert=big boots. Period.). The only reason why I wanted to draw him in this period is for that thing he's holding in his hand--the jutte. It's the special truncheon that all Japanese cops carried, and I remember the first time I saw one, I thought, wow, Javert would look even cooler if he had a cooler truncheon to swing around... Plus he has the right hair to make one of those Edo-style top knots. My boyfriend's been pressing me to draw this, and MadameJavert also asked me to draw a chibi!Javert, so I figured this was decently close to a chibi!Javert...kinda...sorta...
