Hahaha, Jules. He's such an ass, but I somehow still forgive him. Yes, it's Julien Sorel, from "Le Rouge et le Noir" (Red and Black).

A quick sketch. Oh, and by the way, I HAVEN'T FINISHED READING THE BOOK, so if you reveal the ending, I WILL KILL YOU IN YOU SLEEP. I AM NOT KIDDING.

I love this sketch. Julien is an ass, I know. He kinda looks like Combeferre in this depiction, but maybe that's just because I imagined Julien to look more like Marius.

Heheheh, I don't suppose that I expected him to look like either. The thing is, my Combeferre just happens to rather resemble Marius (according to V. Hugo's description of Marius), who in turn fits Stendhal's description of Julien. I guess I simply have trouble equating Marius and Jules on a non-physical level--they're, um, pretty different--so I can't imagine them looking alike either....

Um, I kinda get that. Every time he starts pissing me off, I just put the book down and come back to it a month later... XD Still, for some reason, hot guys in frock coats twist my arm until I draw them, even i they're huge douches (look at Enjolras, for crying out loud XD).

'Le Rouge et le Noir', eh? Is it in French or English? Is it a Mizzie book? By the way, this guy is great. Love the way he's looking over his shoulder like that.
