Anime...or manga/Japanese-inspired (what have you) never...came to mind when I was reading the book. But ignoring the style...it looks like youre comfortable with drawing which shows in its smooth line.

I'm always in awe with the way you draw hair -- it looks so soft and fluffable! The drapery in his hood is pretty, too, I think.
